A useful digital strategy connects business priorities with the systems, content and channels needed to support them.
Start with the business problem
Before choosing software or advertising platforms, define the problem you need to solve. It might be slow enquiry handling, fragmented customer records or a website that makes it difficult to understand your offer. A clear problem gives the project a purpose.
Map the customer journey
Describe how a potential customer discovers you, evaluates your offer, makes contact and receives service. Identify the gaps between those steps. The right investment often improves the connection between existing tools rather than adding another platform.
Choose a manageable first phase
Prioritise work using expected business value, implementation effort and dependencies. Agree what the first release includes, what success looks like and who owns each decision. Avoid treating every improvement as equally urgent.
Measure and revisit
Select measures that match the objective, such as enquiry quality, response time or completion of a key customer task. Review the evidence after launch and adjust the plan. A strategy should guide decisions as the business changes.
